Revolutionizing Wastewater Treatment in Xinhuang: Forigin DEWATS Provides Sustainable Solutions

2023-05-16 16:00:00

[Shenzhen, May 16th] – We are thrilled to announce the remarkable success of Forigin Decentralized Wastewater Treatment Solutions (DEWATS) in addressing the pressing challenges of wastewater treatment in Xinhuang, a picturesque mountainous county located in Mid-China's Hunan Province. By overcoming traditional limitations and introducing innovative approaches, Forigin has revolutionized the way wastewater is managed in this low-to-medium populated region.

Traditional wastewater treatment methods in Xinhuang involved the collection of wastewater, which was then transported to treatment factories. However, the local government and villagers faced three major pain points in implementing these traditional methods.

Challenging Terrain: Xinhuang's mountainous landscape made it extremely difficult to install drainage pipes and treatment facilities, hindering the progress of wastewater management initiatives. Sparse Population: The villages in Xinhuang were sparsely located, posing a significant need for extensive drainage pipe networks. The construction costs associated with such an infrastructure would have skyrocketed, making it economically unfeasible for the local communities. High Maintenance Costs: The ongoing maintenance and operation costs of traditional wastewater treatment systems were prohibitively expensive for the local villagers, making it challenging for them to afford the necessary upkeep.

To address these critical pain points, Forigin DEWATS proposed a solution tailored to the specific needs of the region. At the heart of Forigin's innovative approach lies the groundbreaking IFAS-Mox technology—a non-membrane microbioreactor that efficiently removes harmful chemicals from wastewater.

In a landmark project, Forigin installed 450 Panda-boxes, each serving a rural household, providing wastewater treatment to approximately 1800 people in total. The household influent underwent treatment using the IFAS-Mox technology, ensuring that the effluent met Tier A standards. An impressive up to 0.5 tons of wastewater are treated per day, significantly improving the sanitation and cleanliness of the region.

The Panda-Box, a digitally controlled system with cloud-based monitoring and real-time data visualization, has been instrumental in reducing maintenance costs and frequency. By leveraging advanced technology, Forigin has succeeded in streamlining operations and enhancing the efficiency of wastewater treatment processes.

The Forigin DEWATS solution has received high recognition and praise from both the Xinhuang government and local villagers. It has transformed the local environment into a more sanitary and clean space, positively impacting the health and well-being of the community. Moreover, Forigin is committed to making the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 6—ensuring the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all—accessible, affordable, and actionable through its innovative decentralized wastewater treatment approach.

This remarkable achievement in Xinhuang stands as a testament to Forigin's unwavering dedication to providing sustainable solutions to wastewater management challenges. By combining cutting-edge technology, local needs assessment, and a commitment to environmental stewardship, Forigin continues to pave the way for a greener and more sustainable future.
